A man who spiked candy with tranquilliser and distributed them to youngsters at a summer program in Leicestershire has pleaded guilty to sexual offences against two children who were nine and ten years old.
Jon Ruben was arrested after eight children and a grown-up became sick at the facility in mid-summer.
The senior citizen, from that region, confessed to a series of 17 offences when he was present at the judicial center on the end of the week.
However, he refused to admit one of the sexual offences he was accused of, which was concerning a young boy.
The accused was kept in jail ahead of a subsequent court date on late November.
'Sweet game'

She stated his targets were under-privileged children who were participating in a summer camp which he managed.
Ruben played a "sweet game" with the youngsters, Mrs Prior said, in which he would access the sleeping quarters when they were preparing to sleep and ask them to eat sweets "as fast as possible".
She told the court the defendant had played this game with the young males "for many years", and minors had earlier experienced illness the next day.
She stated the man had been capable of justifying this over a long period as the youngsters being "overstimulated by activities", until his stepson had suspicions in recently.
The legal representative stated further: "This year his stepchild had concerns about the activities, for good reason.
"They chose" to examine in the defendant's belongings."
Mrs Prior KC said materials including infant oil, petroleum jelly and injection devices were located, and his family member alerted the police about his worries.
She stated the man continued to play the "candy game" with six youngsters that evening - July 26th - and they were everyone unwell the subsequent day.
"Authorities" had not responded by that stage," she continued.
The oversight body, the police conduct office, earlier informed that it was investigating Leicestershire Police's handling of the situation.
Mrs Prior stated the children were unable to walk properly due to their condition, so Ruben's stepson contacted the police again.
She explained Ruben then engaged in the "candy game" in a area of five children.
