Seahawks Secure Postseason Berth with Nail-biting Extra Time Triumph over Los Angeles Rams.

Decisive play in overtime

Receiver Eric Saubert executed the game-winning two-point play for Seattle.

The Seattle Seahawks engineered a remarkable comeback to defeat the Los Angeles Rams in extra time, clinching their place in the NFL play-offs.

Rallying from a 30-14 deficit in the fourth quarter, the Seahawks triumphed 38-37 at home, registering their fifth straight victory.

While the Los Angeles had already secured a playoff spot earlier on game day, the Seahawks secured their place to the play-offs after a two-year hiatus.

With this result, the Seattle now lead their division's standings with a twelve and three mark, supplanting the Los Angeles, who fell to the number five playoff position with an 11-4 standing.

Game Highlights

Quarterback Darnold had two picks but regrouped to make two touchdown passes, including the tying score to wideout Smith-Njigba in the extra period.

The Rams held a six-point advantage at the break before Kenneth Walker III broke free for a 55-yard scoring dash for Seattle.

Los Angeles cornerback Josh Wallace then took back Darnold's initial pick for a big return, setting up a short score by Corum on the ensuing snap.

In the fourth quarter, a touchdown from Matthew Stafford to Puka Nacua extended the Rams' lead to sixteen points, but Rashid Shaheed ignited Seattle's comeback with a 58-yard return for a score.

Darnold then found AJ Barner in the endzone, and a successful two-point play forced the game into overtime.

Although Nacua scored for his another touchdown in overtime, Smith-Njigba answered in kind to setup the decisive conversion.
